If you loved Un'estate con Coo, try Colorful
Un ponte tra un film che hai già visto e uno che quasi nessuno ha incrociato. Questo è ciò che condividono, e ciò che il secondo fa che il primo non fa.
Cosa condividono
Both films are directed by Keiichi Hara, and they both carry the bittersweet, foreign gem, tender mood tags, and they sit in Animation / Drama / Family territory. If that's the register that drew you to Un'estate con Coo, the second film will land in a comparable space — through a different lens.
What Colorful is
Here's a film that really leans into its title. A recently deceased soul gets a surprise second chance in the body of a suicidal teenage boy. Observed by a spirit guide, the soul relives the boy's life to uncover the reasons for his past sins and present unhappiness. It certainly earns points for trying.
