If you loved Le Mystère Silkwood, try Couleurs primaires
Un pont entre un film que tu as déjà vu et un que peu de gens ont croisé. Voici ce qu'ils partagent, et ce que le second fait que le premier ne fait pas.
Ce qu'ils partagent
Both films are directed by Mike Nichols, and they both carry the paranoid mood tag, and they sit in Drama territory. If that's the register that drew you to Le Mystère Silkwood, the second film will land in a comparable space — through a different lens.
What Couleurs primaires is
Mike Nichols took a whack at an thinly-veiled Clinton pastiche. It follows an idealistic young staffer who joins the campaign of a charismatic Southern governor with presidential aspirations. The staffer then witnesses firsthand the compromises and moral ambiguities of big-league politics. It's a surprisingly star-studded affair, if you're into that sort of thing.
