If you loved Silkwood, try El Escándalo
Un puente entre una película que ya has visto y una que casi nadie ha cruzado. Esto es lo que comparten, y lo que la segunda hace que la primera no hace.
Lo que comparten
Both films are directed by Mike Nichols, and they sit in Drama territory. If that's the register that drew you to Silkwood, the second film will land in a comparable space — through a different lens.
What El Escándalo is
Mike Nichols took a whack at an thinly-veiled Clinton pastiche. It follows an idealistic young staffer who joins the campaign of a charismatic Southern governor with presidential aspirations. The staffer then witnesses firsthand the compromises and moral ambiguities of big-league politics. It's a surprisingly star-studded affair, if you're into that sort of thing.
