If you loved Tsugaru Folksong, try The Rendezvous
Un puente entre una película que ya has visto y una que casi nadie ha cruzado. Esto es lo que comparten, y lo que la segunda hace que la primera no hace.
Lo que comparten
Both films are directed by Kōichi Saitō, and they both carry the bittersweet, tender mood tags, and they sit in Drama / Romance territory. If that's the register that drew you to Tsugaru Folksong, the second film will land in a comparable space — through a different lens.

What The Rendezvous is
Here's a film that knows exactly what it is, and no more. A young man and a beautiful woman meet, fall in love, and then part ways, all on a train. It's a credit to the filmmakers that this manages to fill an entire movie.
