If you loved El imaginario, try NiNoKuni
Un puente entre una película que ya has visto y una que casi nadie ha cruzado. Esto es lo que comparten, y lo que la segunda hace que la primera no hace.
Lo que comparten
Both films are directed by Yoshiyuki Momose, and they both carry the bittersweet, tender mood tags, and they sit in Adventure / Animation / Family / Fantasy territory. If that's the register that drew you to El imaginario, the second film will land in a comparable space — through a different lens.

What NiNoKuni is
Here's a film that thinks parallel worlds are the solution, not the problem. Two high schoolers travel to a magical kingdom to save their friend's life, only to discover love makes things even more complicated. It's probably best enjoyed by people already invested in the lore.
