If you loved Jack y las habichuelas mágicas, try The Tale of Genji
Un puente entre una película que ya has visto y una que casi nadie ha cruzado. Esto es lo que comparten, y lo que la segunda hace que la primera no hace.
Lo que comparten
Both films are directed by Gisaburō Sugii, and they sit in Animation territory. If that's the register that drew you to Jack y las habichuelas mágicas, the second film will land in a comparable space — through a different lens.
What The Tale of Genji is
Here's one for the high-culture crowd. A prince cannot control himself, and begins an affair with his father's wife. This sets him off on a lifetime of searching for fulfillment in the arms of other women. It probably looked amazing at the time.
