If you loved The Brain, try Umbrella Coup

A bridge between a film you've already seen and one most people haven't. Here's what they share, and what the second one does that the first one doesn't.

What they share

Both films are directed by Gérard Oury, and they sit in Comedy / Crime territory. If that's the register that drew you to The Brain, the second film will land in a comparable space — through a different lens.

What Umbrella Coup is

A French farce that makes very little sense, but tries its best. An actor looking for work is mistaken for a hitman, and hired to kill a gun dealer with a poisoned umbrella. Chaos, of course, ensues. It's hard to fault a film this committed to being daft.
