If you loved Talking Head, try Angel's Egg

A bridge between a film you've already seen and one most people haven't. Here's what they share, and what the second one does that the first one doesn't.

What they share

Both films are directed by Mamoru Oshii, and they sit in Fantasy / Mystery territory. If that's the register that drew you to Talking Head, the second film will land in a comparable space — through a different lens.

What Angel's Egg is

Barren streets. Endless twilight. A fragile egg. The girl protects her orb from the desolate world, scavenging for sustenance among gothic ruins. A nameless soldier arrives, bearing a weapon for hunting invisible prey. Oshii's surreal anime is less narrative puzzle than devotional object.
