If you loved Silent Fall, try Peace, Love & Misunderstanding
A bridge between a film you've already seen and one most people haven't. Here's what they share, and what the second one does that the first one doesn't.
What they share
Both films are directed by Bruce Beresford, and they sit in Drama territory. If that's the register that drew you to Silent Fall, the second film will land in a comparable space — through a different lens.
What Peace, Love & Misunderstanding is
This one attempts to recapture the spirit of the '60s. Uptight lawyer Diane escapes a crumbling marriage by visiting her estranged hippie mom in Woodstock. The culture clash provides predictable laughs, but at least Jane Fonda seems to be having fun.
