If you loved Robinson Crusoe on Mars, try Treasure Island
A bridge between a film you've already seen and one most people haven't. Here's what they share, and what the second one does that the first one doesn't.
What they share
Both films are directed by Byron Haskin, and they sit in Adventure territory. If that's the register that drew you to Robinson Crusoe on Mars, the second film will land in a comparable space — through a different lens.
What Treasure Island is
Disney's first completely live-action feature goes full high-seas. A lad, a doctor, and a squire set sail to find buried pirate loot. Turns out, the ship is full of mutinous buccaneers, so the treasure hunt might have to wait. It's good, clean fun, if you like your adventure stories scrubbed clean.
