If you loved Pikachu's PikaBoo, try Pokémon: Gotta Dance!
A bridge between a film you've already seen and one most people haven't. Here's what they share, and what the second one does that the first one doesn't.
What they share
Both films are directed by Kunihiko Yuyama, and they both carry the playful mood tag, and they sit in Adventure / Animation / Family territory. If that's the register that drew you to Pikachu's PikaBoo, the second film will land in a comparable space — through a different lens.
What Pokémon: Gotta Dance! is
Meowth turns secret-base janitor with a dance fetish and a gadget that’s one botched rescue away from disco apocalypse. When Pikachu’s crew blunders in trying to help a lonely Whismur, the baton triggers an unstoppable conga line through the lab. The base may be doomed, but at least the Pokémon are getting their steps in.
