A bridge between a film you've already seen and one most people haven't. Here's what they share, and what the second one does that the first one doesn't.

What they share

Theyboth carry the bittersweet, slow burn, tender mood tags, and they sit in Drama / Romance territory. If that's the register that drew you to Now, Voyager, the second film will land in a comparable space — through a different lens.

What Great Expectations is

A orphaned boy with delusions of grandeur gets handed a fortune and the illusion of class by a shadowy patron, only to learn that his new life is built on a foundation of trauma and delusion. He returns to the decaying estate of Miss Havisham, a ghost of a bride who’s spent decades training a porcelain doll to break men’s hearts—his included. By the time he realizes he’s been manipulated by the very people he thought were above him, the illusion has cracked, leaving only the mess.
