If you loved Lady Jane, try Twelfth Night
A bridge between a film you've already seen and one most people haven't. Here's what they share, and what the second one does that the first one doesn't.
What they share
Both films are directed by Trevor Nunn, and they both carry the bittersweet, tender mood tags, and they sit in Drama / Romance territory. If that's the register that drew you to Lady Jane, the second film will land in a comparable space — through a different lens.
What Twelfth Night is
An Elizabethan rom-com committed to gender-bending before the concept had a Wikipedia entry. A shipwreck leaves Viola posing as Cesario to serve Orsino, who sends the faux page to woo Olivia on his behalf, while Olivia falls for the messenger. The more costume changes it undergoes, the more it resembles a wardrobe malfunction of classic proportions.
