If you loved Hydra, try Bad City
Un puente entre una película que ya has visto y una que casi nadie ha cruzado. Esto es lo que comparten, y lo que la segunda hace que la primera no hace.
Lo que comparten
Both films are directed by Kensuke Sonomura, and they both carry the neon soaked, paranoid, raw mood tags, and they sit in Action / Crime territory. If that's the register that drew you to Hydra, the second film will land in a comparable space — through a different lens.
What Bad City is
You’re the disgraced ex-captain in a city drowning in debt and gunfire when the city’s new mayor starts calling in favors from every yakuza clan. A cell door creaks open and the paperwork feels like a death sentence. The camera pushes through steam and neon, catching the mayor’s lawyer lighting a cigarette in a backroom. The rain never stops here except once—just long enough for a knife to sink in.
