Educating Rita

A working-class hairdresser signs up for literature classes thinking it might improve her life, hoping the professor can do the same for himself. An unlikely bond forms between the alcoholic academic and his eager student as each confronts the limits of their respective worlds. The script hands out good intentions and little else.
