If you loved Dora-heita, try The Wanderers
A bridge between a film you've already seen and one most people haven't. Here's what they share, and what the second one does that the first one doesn't.
What they share
Both films are directed by Kon Ichikawa, and they both carry the outsider mood tag, and they sit in Comedy territory. If that's the register that drew you to Dora-heita, the second film will land in a comparable space — through a different lens.

What The Wanderers is
Kon Ichikawa directs, so of course it's about samurai. Three masterless samurai roam feudal Japan seeking employment. Their strict adherence to Bushido complicates even their low-born status. Ichikawa manages, as always, to make it look beautiful.
