If you loved Cream Lemon, try Ghost Cat Anzu
A bridge between a film you've already seen and one most people haven't. Here's what they share, and what the second one does that the first one doesn't.
What they share
Both films are directed by Nobuhiro Yamashita. If that's the register that drew you to Cream Lemon, the second film will land in a comparable space — through a different lens.
What Ghost Cat Anzu is
A film that asks, "What if Studio Ghibli, but cats?" Karin is left in the care of her grandfather and his freeloading giant ghost cat, Anzu. Karin proceeds to meddle in Anzu's attempts to prove himself, leading to predictable supernatural shenanigans. At least the animators got paid.
