If you loved Blanche, try The Games of Angels

A bridge between a film you've already seen and one most people haven't. Here's what they share, and what the second one does that the first one doesn't.

What they share

Both films are directed by Walerian Borowczyk, and they both carry the slow burn mood tag. If that's the register that drew you to Blanche, the second film will land in a comparable space — through a different lens.

What The Games of Angels is

The Games of Angels meets Un Chien Andalou. Shadow puppets drift through a prisoner’s doodle of purgatory where barbed wire flowers and staircases go nowhere. The soundtrack is a rusted music box playing in reverse, carried by Borowczyk’s own line drawings left to slither off the page.
