If you loved Zatôichi's Cane Sword, try Zatôichi's Conspiracy
Un ponte tra un film che hai già visto e uno che quasi nessuno ha incrociato. Questo è ciò che condividono, e ciò che il secondo fa che il primo non fa.
Cosa condividono
Both films are directed by Kimiyoshi Yasuda, and they sit in Action / Adventure / Drama territory. If that's the register that drew you to Zatôichi's Cane Sword, the second film will land in a comparable space — through a different lens.
What Zatôichi's Conspiracy is
You walk back to your childhood village and meet Omiyo, who shares a wet-nurse with you. An old friend, Shinbei, greets you with wealth and vague recognition. He offers to clear village debts, but the deal hinges on a valuable rock quarry. Subtle tension thickens as the earth beneath your feet shifts. Yasuda wastes no motion, letting the swordplay decide who owns the ground.
