If you loved Tangerine, try Red Rocket
Un ponte tra un film che hai già visto e uno che quasi nessuno ha incrociato. Questo è ciò che condividono, e ciò che il secondo fa che il primo non fa.
Cosa condividono
Both films are directed by Sean Baker, and they both carry the outsider, raw mood tags, and they sit in Comedy / Drama territory. If that's the register that drew you to Tangerine, the second film will land in a comparable space — through a different lens.
What Red Rocket is
Sean Baker goes back to the fringes again. Mikey Saber, an ex-adult film performer, finds himself back in his small Texas hometown, seeking refuge with his ex and her mother. His efforts to reintegrate are complicated by a new fixation on a local girl. It’s a portrait of a man who hasn't grown, set against a landscape that hasn't changed much either.
