If you loved Cemetery of Splendour, try Tropical Malady
Un ponte tra un film che hai già visto e uno che quasi nessuno ha incrociato. Questo è ciò che condividono, e ciò che il secondo fa che il primo non fa.
Cosa condividono
Both films are directed by Apichatpong Weerasethakul, and they both carry the slow burn, surreal, tender mood tags, and they sit in Drama / Fantasy territory. If that's the register that drew you to Cemetery of Splendour, the second film will land in a comparable space — through a different lens.

What Tropical Malady is
Looks like someone's been reading structuralist film theory. A soldier has a sweet, tentative romance with a local boy, then a mythic jungle tale about a shaman and a tiger unfolds. It might test your patience, but at least it’s pretty.
