Ce qu'ils partagent
Theyboth carry the bittersweet, foreign gem, tender mood tags, and they sit in Drama territory. If that's the register that drew you to J'ai tué ma mère, the second film will land in a comparable space — through a different lens.

What C.R.A.Z.Y. is
A coming-of-age story, set in Quebec, that really wants to be *almost* as good as a Scorsese flick. A young man confronts his sexuality against the backdrop of a changing cultural landscape and a traditional father. The film is remembered fondly in Canada, at least.
