If you loved Cartouche, try Les Tribulations d'un Chinois en Chine
Un pont entre un film que tu as déjà vu et un que peu de gens ont croisé. Voici ce qu'ils partagent, et ce que le second fait que le premier ne fait pas.
Ce qu'ils partagent
Both films are directed by Philippe de Broca, and they both carry the playful mood tag, and they sit in Adventure / Comedy territory. If that's the register that drew you to Cartouche, the second film will land in a comparable space — through a different lens.

What Les Tribulations d'un Chinois en Chine is
De Broca gives it a go with a frivolous romp. A bored and very rich man decides to cancel his own life, then immediately regrets it. Naturally, mayhem ensues as he tries to wriggle out of the arrangement. It's certainly a film.
