If you loved The Lion Standing in the Wind, try Blues Harp
Eine Brücke zwischen einem Film, den du schon gesehen hast, und einem, den kaum jemand kennt. Das teilen sie, und was der zweite macht, was der erste nicht macht.
Was sie teilen
Both films are directed by Takashi Miike, and they both carry the bittersweet, tender mood tags, and they sit in Drama territory. If that's the register that drew you to The Lion Standing in the Wind, the second film will land in a comparable space — through a different lens.

What Blues Harp is
Takashi Miike directs, so you already know this is not your grandma's musical. Kenji, a young yakuza, finds his career ambitions complicated by a tender friendship with Chuji, a blues harmonica player in deep with the competition. It's sweet until the bullets start flying, which, of course, they do.
