If you loved Weather Woman, try Weather Woman Returns
A bridge between a film you've already seen and one most people haven't. Here's what they share, and what the second one does that the first one doesn't.
What they share
Both films are directed by Tomoaki Hosoyama, and they both carry the cozy mood tag, and they sit in Comedy territory. If that's the register that drew you to Weather Woman, the second film will land in a comparable space — through a different lens.
What Weather Woman Returns is
Somehow the local news war settled on meteorological titillation as the new ratings war. After sabotage claims another victim Keiko’s improvised solution—briefly undressed prognostication—turns a humdrum forecast into must-see TV. The station then recruits contestants skilled only in showing skin and arm-wrestling, which seems less about weather than wish fulfillment.
