If you loved The Butcher, try Warning: Do Not Play
A bridge between a film you've already seen and one most people haven't. Here's what they share, and what the second one does that the first one doesn't.
What they share
Both films are directed by Kim Jin-won, and they sit in Horror territory. If that's the register that drew you to The Butcher, the second film will land in a comparable space — through a different lens.
What Warning: Do Not Play is
Empty screening room. Late autumn wind. A single flickering bulb. Mi-jung seeks inspiration in cursed celluloid, chasing whispers of a student film lost to dark rumor. The deeper she investigates, the more the line blurs between reality and the film's gruesome events. Korean horror cinema is rarely this self-reflexive.
