If you loved Lies, try The Road to the Racetrack

A bridge between a film you've already seen and one most people haven't. Here's what they share, and what the second one does that the first one doesn't.

What they share

Both films are directed by Jang Sun-woo, and they both carry the tender mood tag, and they sit in Drama / Romance territory. If that's the register that drew you to Lies, the second film will land in a comparable space — through a different lens.

What The Road to the Racetrack is

Here's a film that sets out to be a love story, possibly of the tortured variety. R arrives back from his studies in France, finding his old Parisian roommate J. They proceed to have feelings, or at least intense conversations. It's nice to see that some things don't translate across cultures.
