If you loved Full Metal Yakuza, try Dead or Alive: Final

A bridge between a film you've already seen and one most people haven't. Here's what they share, and what the second one does that the first one doesn't.

What they share

Both films are directed by Takashi Miike, and they sit in Action / Comedy / Crime / Science Fiction territory. If that's the register that drew you to Full Metal Yakuza, the second film will land in a comparable space — through a different lens.

What Dead or Alive: Final is

An exaggerated fight-fest set in a neon-drenched wasteland where the only thing more toxic than the air is the banter. After a washed-up cop and a retired yakuza join forces with a ragtag militia, their reunion is interrupted by a child abduction. At least the explosions are stylish.
