## Synopsis (in-house rewrite)

A neon-lit Tokyo summer night. The chime of an antique clock.

A jewel thief lures a gumshoe into a mirrored salon where the walls are stocked with stolen faces. The detective’s coat pockets fill with cryptic appointment cards while a sequined hostage listens through a porcelain teacup.
